Summary: Fender started making the first 52 reissues in 1982 in the Fullerton plant. The Southern California guitarist Ted Greene helped Fender with the design by referencing his extensive collection of old Telecasters. It has a slightly slimmer C shaped neck than you would find on a true 1952 Telecaster and a 6 saddle bridge which was included with this model. It originally came with a 3 saddle bridge as well as the 6 saddle bridge but it has since been lost but the original tweed case is included. It has just been professionally set up and restrung with a new set of 10s, it plays and sounds beautiful.

Body: It has an ash body with butterscotch blonde finish and one ply era correct black fiber pickguard.

Neck: The one piece bolt on maple neck has a C profile with a vintage tined finish, slight wear on the fingerboard, vintage style tuning keys, vintage 7.25” fretboard radius, black dots and 25.5” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: It has the original single coil pickups, original 6 saddle-bridge, 3 way toggle with volume and tone and vintage wiring. Front position is a treble roll off like the originals, the middle position is just the neck and the back position is the treble pickup alone.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in fine used condition and has been well cared for by the previous owner. This guitar does show normal signs of use such as mild buckle rash on the back, various minor scratches and dings in the finish, most notable of the dings are 4 chips in the finish by the output jack, some wear on the fingerboard mostly done by the Fender factory and some weather checking in the finish on the body by the arm rest.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in good shape with plenty of life left in them. There is a moderate amount of wear in the first 2 frets although it does not impede playability.

Modifications: This model came with 2 bridges, a 6 saddle bridge and a 3 saddle bridge. The 6 saddle bridge is on it right now and unfortunately the 3 saddle bridge has been lost.

Weight: 7 lbs, 11 oz.

Case: This Tele comes with its original tweed case and we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
