1961 Fender Bandmaster 6G7 Head, Oxblood, "Rough White" Tolex Vintage Classic
Nice example of an early issue Pre-CBS white Tolex Bandmaster head. This era is referred to as the “rough tolex” with oxblood grill cloth version, and are the most classic looking of all Fender amps, in my opinion. This model sounds great, and has the desirable early Fender vibrato that works perfectly.
Tolex and grill cloth are in great shape, and handle is solid. Amp is in great shape, and sounds fantastic.
Head weighs 28 lbs, measures roughly 10 x 9 x 24.
Original transformers are stamped 125A7A 606-145, 125C1A 606133, 125P7A 606145.
Original grey power cord. Electrolytic caps redone. I purchased this one years ago from its long time owner, who was a fixture on the country swing scene in our valley. He sent it back to Fender at one point to have the caps redone, see the pics. The best sounding Deluxe Reverb I’ve ever owned has brown caps in it.
