1963 Fender Bandmaster Amp Head Blonde

This 1963 Fender Bandmaster is in good vintage cosmetic condition and is in excellent working condition. This 61 year old amplifier shows signs of play wear and age throughout (see photos). There are nicks and small tears in the blonde Tolex covering, a few cigarette burns on the top of the amp, some small scratches and oxidation on the front face panel and the rubberized handle is split (the handle still functions as it should). This amp is original throughout and has a visible potentiometer code of 1376330 dating this component to the 30th week of 1963. Two transformers date to the 19th and 27th week of 1963 and one transformer dates to the 15th week of 1962. This Bandmaster was recently serviced by Hime Amplification in Nashville, Tennessee, and is running tip top. They replaced a few leaky capacitors and a three prong power cable has been installed for safe operation. You know how every now and then you see an amp or a guitar and say to yourself, "Hmm... that thing just looks like it sounds good.” Well, that’s exactly what we said when this Bandmaster came through the doors of our shop... and after a service, we were absolutely right! This amp sounds righteous! It has a great amount of strong headroom at lower volumes and when pushed it will saturate into vintage overdriven bliss with rich harmonic overtones. This amp also handles pedals like a champ. This Bandmaster quickly became a shop favorite around here and we hope it finds the great new home it deserves!
