This is the Bassman you never see. The first production "piggyback" Fender Bassman was a single 12" tone ring cabinet and the 6G6 circuit (the one with the tube rectifier). You don't see a lot of them in this configuration but they are highly regarded as guitar amps by many. This is a 61 and is serial number 00478. I think they started at 100, so this is a pretty early one. KF date code on the chart. They switched to the SS rectifier shortly after this one was made. Filter and coupling caps done. A few caps on the board have been changed but most are original. Original trannies. Original speaker. Speaker cable is newer.
