Now available on consignment, an original 1952 Fender Champion Lap Steel!
This example of an early Champion lap steel is in pretty much all original condition, with exception to a set of reproduction kluson tuners having been installed (original tuners are included). No extra holes were drilled when the swap occurred.
It still features its original flat-pole piece bridge pickup, similar to whats found in telecasters of this era, and its original pots/untouched wiring harness dating to 21st week of 1952. The original numbered bridge and knobs also remain. Many of these have been stripped of these parts, so its nice to see one still in original condition.
A fantastic playing and sounding lapsteel from the early days of Fender, includes a case.
