Summary: Unpopular models upon their initial release in 1968, growing demand for the original Pink Paisley and Blue Floral Telecasters throughout the late 70s and 80s led Fender to reissue them in 1985. Crafted in Japan, these reissues have become desirable collectables in their own right.
Body: Single cutaway solid basswood body. Pink paisley finish.
Neck: Maple with maple fretboard and black dot fret markers. 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Hardware: Two vintage-style Telecaster single coil pickups. Three-way pickup switch with tophat knob. Master volume and master tone controls with knurled knobs. Chrome hardware. String through bridge with steel barrel saddles. Vintage Kluson-style tuners.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape with little sign of wear. There is a light amount of tarnish to the chrome hardware and few spots on the neck have darkened from play. Frets show some wear, particularly in the first few positions, but are in good shape and have plenty of life left. The paisley finish is in excellent shape and looks fantastic.
Playability: The neck has a comfortable C carve and plays well with low action and no buzz or dead spots. The basswood body is lightweight and adds a bit of twang. The traditional Tele pickups dish out traditional Tele tone: powerful, bright and snappy.
Weight: 8 lbs, 6 oz.
Case: Gig bag.
