Freshly set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech, this Fender Crafted-in-Japan (CIJ) Jaguar Baritone is rare and beautiful and plays like a dream. In Very Good condition with modest wear and tear for an instrument of this age, including a few nicks, scratches, and general aging. Fender Japan is known not only for high build quality, arguably equal or exceeding USA standards, but also for unique models like this Baritone scale-length Jaguar. Long known as staples in twangy Country Western music, the Baritone has proved to be an extremely versatile instrument that provides a creative element in any musical genre. Typically tuned B to B, but many alternate tunings work very well on Baritone guitars. All original and comes with its original Fender Japan gig bag. See below for more details and specifications.
ABOUT FENDER JAPAN:
Guitars stamped Made in Japan (MIJ) next to the serial number were made in the Fujigen factory while guitars made in other factories were stamped Crafted in Japan (CIJ). Quality standards were essentially the same but models and designs differ to some degree. Many of these guitars were made strictly for the Japanese domestic market and were not initially exported to the USA. However, over the years, used Japanese models started to make their way to the USA and other countries as the quality and rarity of these guitars created a strong market among players and collectors alike.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage products as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
