If you are looking for one of the best Stratocasters that the Fender Custom Shop has to offer, this guitar deserves your consideration. This is a John Cruz Masterbuilt "Wildwood 10" '59 NOS model completed in 2014.
As a John Cruz Masterbuilt, it should be no surprise that the attention to detail is incredible. As a Wildwood Dealer Select model, it has their special 10" fretboard radius and was specially ordered to their specifications, which include: a two piece Alder body with a Fiesta Red nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a very light weight of just 7.2 pounds; a 60's C-shaped quartersawn Maple neck with depths of .820" at the first fret and .940" at the twelfth fret by my measurements; a nice dark slab AAA grade Rosewood fretboard with 10" radius, 6105 fret wire and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, John Cruz Limited single coils with VTT and five-way switching. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for additional quack and the second tone control is dedicated to the bridge pickup.
This guitar is an understated masterpiece with it's flawless NOS finish. It plays and sounds like the best Fender has to offer. It nearly plays itself it is setup so well and the tone is just what you are looking for in a high end Stratocaster. Check out the brief sound sample provided; Cruz hand wound single coils are among the best in the business.
This beautiful one owner guitar was from a collection and is in mint/near mint condition, with virtually nothing in the way of cosmetic flaws and the frets show no observable wear. It could easily pass for a new instrument.
This fabulous instrument comes in it's original Limited Edition G&G case, along with the certificate of authenticity, Cruz Tools kit and all the other original accessories and paperwork.
If you can find one, a new example of this guitar would be priced at around $7K, but you can get this as new 2014 example for quite a bit less. The best from the Fender Custom Shop and John Cruz!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
