Description
1999 Fender Custom Shop 1950s "NOCASTER" Relic, a reproduction of a "Nocaster" from around 1951.

The world's first solid electric guitar, the Fender Esquire, was unveiled at the NAMM Show in July 1950. Later, the "Esquire" with two pickups was also released. Soon after, the two-pickup model was renamed the "Broadcaster," but in 1951, a trademark claim was filed by Gretsch, and the model name had to be changed. The model without the model name on the head decal until the middle of 1951 when the name "Telecaster" was decided is commonly called "No Caster" and is highly prized as a rare piece among vintage enthusiasts. This 1999 Fender Custom Shop 1950s "NOCASTER" Relic has the appearance of a massive model, with scratches that have been naturally acquired through continuous use and playing. The maple one-piece neck is made of beautiful-looking flame maple, and details such as the black pickguard with five-point stopper with flat head screws in bayou light, brass bridge saddle, and flat polepiece pickups are all carefully crafted. The sound is a combination of a lightweight ash body with a sound that is well contained, and a maple one-piece neck that has a colorful midrange with a solid attack and treble. This model produces a one-rank higher sound with high quality materials and a construction that spares no effort or cost, which only a custom store can produce.
