Fender Custom Shop 2022 1961 Stratocaster Heavy Relic
This is a “1961 Stratocaster Heavy Relic” model with Super Faded 3 Tone Sunburst finish and slab Rosewood fingerboard.
The neck grip and body paint have been peeled off, the weather checks and scratches on the body edge, as well as the tarnishing of the metal parts, have been reproduced by the relic process.
The neck is a slightly thicker “60 style Oval C” shape, and the AAA grade 9.5R radius rosewood fingerboard has jumbo type frets.
Three hand-wound Texas Special pickups signed “CG” are mounted.
It is equipped with Wiring #2" with independent capacitor for the bridge position.
(Shallow tone effect is achieved in the bridge position.)
The frets have a very shallow dent on the low position plain strings, but there is not much wear on the rest of the frets, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
