本物とみまごうばかりの造りとワンランク上のサウンドが魅力
1962年、ジャズマスターのグレードアップ・モデルとして開発され、ボディ形状やトレモロ・ユニットなどを継承した ジャガーを発表。ジャズマスターのネック・スケールがストラトと同様の25 1/2インチ21フレットに対し、 ジャガーでは24インチ22フレットを採用。独自のコントロール・システムによりサウンド・バリエーションの多彩さも魅力。1975年頃に製造中止となりますが90年代初頭、ニルヴァーナのカート・コバーンやグランジ・ミュージックのアーティスト等の使用により再発売され現在でも人気の高いモデルです。
そんなジャガーの1963年製モデルをフェンダー社だからこそ忠実に再現したモデル。2017年ごろより採用されているラッシュ・クローゼット・クラッシックが施されたモデルで、綺麗な状態を維持しようとメンテナンスを施し経年した状態を再現したクローゼット・クラッシックです。ウェザーチェックの入り方などは非常に繊細で、本物とみまごう程の完成度。マッチングヘッドやクレイドット風のインレイも相まって、ヴィンテージの風格を備えています。厳選された木材に時間とコストを惜しまない、カスタムショップ製ならではの造りで、ワンランク上のサウンドを体感できるギターです。
