Fender Custom Shop 2021 1964 Esquire Journeyman Relic
This is a "1964 Esquire Journeyman Relic" model with a blonde finish and rounded rose fingerboard.
This 'Journeyman Relic' reproduces the weather checks and dents all over the body, and the back of the neck has a 'Heavy Relic' finish with peeling paint. (The darkening has not been reproduced and is marked Unfin NB JRN on the spec sheet).
The neck grip is a relatively narrow 60s Style Oval C shape, with a 9.5R fingerboard and narrow tall frets.
The pickups are equipped with hand-wound "1964 Tele" pickups signed "BP".
The controls are full-throttle Esquire wired, with the neck position controlling volume and tone, the centre position controlling volume only and bypassing tone, and the bridge position bypassing both volume and tone.
There is no signs of wear and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
