Fender Custom Shop 2019 1964 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic
This is a “1964 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic” model with a fat rim wide black 3-tone sunburst finish and round laminated rosewood fingerboard.
This model is a reissue of the transition specs with transition logo, mint green guard, and clay dots position markers.
The Journeyman relic process reproduces the fine weather checks, tiny scratches on the entire body and tarnished metal parts, and the back of the neck has a “Heavy Relic” finish with stripped paint.
The neck is a slightly thicker 63 Strat-style “C” shape, and the fingerboard is made from AAA grade rosewood with a 9.5R radius and Narrow tall 6105 frets.
The pickups are hand-wound “FAT 64”, signed ‘LD’ and have “Vintage Mod. Wiring #2” with a separate capacitor for the bridge position.
There are no dents on the frets, and about 80-90% of remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
