2000 Fender Custom Shop D'Aquisto Stephen Stern Masterbuilt Ultra Archtop in excellent condition. This Fender is all original with no history of repairs. This Stephen Stern built Ultra archtop was constructed with a spruce top, AAAA flamed maple back and sides, a 3 ply flamed maple and mahogany neck, and ebony tuner buttons, bridge, pickguard, volume knob, pickup housing, and tailpiece. The guitar is X braced and features a custom Kent Armstrong handwound mini humbucker in the neck position. The neck has a width of 1 3/4" at the nut, a depth of .91” at the first fret, and a depth of 097” at the ninth fret. The guitar has a 25.5 ” scale and weighs 6.08 lbs. This is a rare guitar of exceptional craftsmanship, number 37 of only an estimated 40 ever made. Stephen Stern trained under Jimmy D'Aquisto and built these guitars for Fender after Jimmy passed away and before going on to head the Gretsch Custom Shop. Comes with the original hardshell case.
