Description

Offered is this spectacular Tele from the Fender Custom Shop, in this case a '53 NOS Telecaster by Master Builder Greg Fessler from 2008. Starting with a Nocaster platform, Greg gave this guitar the following specs: a lightweight two piece ash body finished with butterscotch nitrocellulose lacquer and a total guitar weight of just 6.6 pounds; a large 10/56 V-shaped maple neck with depth measurements of .880" at the 1st fret increasing to .980" at the 12th, a fret board radius of 9.5", medium jumbo fret wire and a 1.650" bone nut; a Nocaster bridge with brass saddles; and for electronics, a Nocaster bridge pickup and Twisted Tele neck pickup with four-way switching. The original owner had the back of the neck very lightly sanded to remove some of the tackiness of the stock lacquer finish. This was professionally done and the results feel and look great. Other than this, the guitar is completely original. This is such a superb Tele that you won't want to put her down. It plays so easy and sounds so good! This guitar is in superb condition too, with just very light play wear, most of which is confined to the pickguard. The frets are in great condition too. It comes with it's original tweed G&G case, the certificate of authenticity and build sheet and all of the accessories. If you want one of the best Teles the Fender Custom Shop has to offer, this guitar should be on your short list.
