Fender Custom Shop 2023 Limited 1961 Telecaster Relic
The "1961 Telecaster Relic" model is a re-order of the Fender Custom Shop 2021 Spring Event Limited Edition model.
Although it is a reproduction of a 1961 model with a slab laminated rosewood fingerboard, it has a 3-ply mint guard.
The body has been relic processed with weather checks and elbow paint peeling to give it a vintage look, and the back of the neck is "Heavy Relic" (Unfinished) with stripped paint.
The neck grip is a slightly narrower C-shape, and the dark shade rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5R radius with "6105" frets for better playability.
The pickups are hand-wound with a “BP" signature, a Hand Wound Twisted Telecaster on the neck and a Hand Wound Original Blakguard on the bridge. A grease bucket control is adopted to eliminate the clutter when the volume is turned down.
The frets are slightly worn on the plain strings, but there is little wear elsewhere and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
