Fender Custom Shop 2008 Master Built 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Active Circuit by Todd Krause
The "1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Active Circuit" model was built by master builder Todd Krause, who has worked on many guitars for Eric Clapton himself.
The vintage look and specs of the current Clapton signature model are combined in this model, with the well used fingerboard and peeling paint on the body and neck meticulously recreated.
The assembly is based on Clapton's signature model, with Noiseless pickups and Master Volume/Master Tone/Mid Boost controls. (Originally coated with conductive paint, not TBX).
The neck is V-shaped, similar to Clapton models, and the frets are vintage type on the 9.5R fingerboard.
The tremolo is fixed by a wood block.
The frets have a few dented areas around the low position of the plain strings, but overall there is more than 90% remaining, and there are no problems with the neck and truss rod.
