Fender Custom Shop 2018 MBS Directors Choice 1953 Telecaster Journeyman Relic Master Built by Chris Fleming

This is the "1953 Telecaster Journeyman Relic", a limited edition of only 10 made by Chris Fleming for Japan.

"DIRECTORS CHOICE" is a limited edition model created by Chris Fleming, a former Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop and has produced many masterpieces, and now a Director.

It has an orthodox style with the black pickguard and nocaster blonde finish, 2-piece offset ash body, A-flame maple with a very slight graininess was chosen.

The entire body is covered with fine weather checks by the relic work.

The neck shape is slightly thick Custom 1954 "U" (with a soft V in the low position), the fingerboard radius is 7.25R, the frets are vintage type, and Compensated Brass Saddles, also known as "Gatton Saddles", are used.

The pickups are hand-wound 51 Nocaster & 55/56 Telecaster supervised by Chris Fleming.

There is a paint chip at the neck joint on the first string side of the body top, and 1cm of paint peeling at the fingerboard edge at the 4th fret.

There are no dents in the frets, more than 80~90% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
