This is a "1957 Stratocaster" model from the Retrospective Gear series, the predecessor of the Master Grade series.

This series was produced by reissuing vintage instruments ordered by Yamano Music Co. Ltd, the distributor at that time, and is labeled "YAMANO SPECIAL" on the certificate.

This is a reissue of a 1957 Stratocaster with a one-piece maple neck in a birds eye and flamed maple mixture with a distinctive V-shape at the apex.

The fingerboard has a 9.5 radius with vintage type frets.

There is conductive paint in the cavity (original) and the pickups are original black bobbins.

There are some large and small dents on the body back/side/end, many scratches throughout the body back, some tine dents on the neck and head, and paint peeling on the fingerboard edge at the neck end (near the joint).

The frets have multiple dented areas, mainly on the plain strings, with about 60-70% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.

The back panel is missing.
