Fender Custom Shop 2021 Shigeru Suzuki 1962 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic
This is Shigeru Suzuki's signature model, produced under the supervision of master builder Jason Smith.
It is based on his 1962 Stratocaster, finished in Fiesta Red with Desert Sand undercoat and the "Shigeru Suzuki 62 Soft V-Shape" (a distinctive neck grip that was re-cut to a V-shape by Jason Smith) based on the data profiled by Jason Smith have been reproduced, Vintage Bumblebee capacitors and 500KΩ pots are used.
The body has a Journeyman Relic finish that reproduces weather checks and minor dents, and the back of the neck has a Heavy Relic finish with peeling paint.
The 7.25R fingerboard is made of dark shade rosewood with thin vintage frets.
The pickups are hand-wound Fat 60s STRAT PUs signed "CG".
The frets are very slightly worn on the low position of the plain strings, but there is not much wear and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
