Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster Abby Pickups Maple Fretboard NOS 2009 - Black
Here we have an awesome '69 Stratocaster loaded with Abigail Ybarra pickups! This Fender Custom Shop guitar is in good condition with some light player wear.
Specs include an alder body, maple neck, maple fretboard, and large headstock. It has F tuners, a multiply white guard, and a NOS black finish. The guitar appears to be re-fretted with jumbo wire and it has a 9.5" radius. The headstock has a gloss finish, while the fretboard and back of the neck have a satin finish.
The guitar has clearly been played but also well-maintained. There is fingerboard wear along with light wear on the back of the neck. There are a few light impressions on the back of the neck that aren't very noticeable while playing. The body shows light scratches and wear marks over its surface. There is a section of light orange peel on the back by the cavity cover. There are a few light dings and a couple small paint chips on the body as well.
This one weighs 7lbs 6oz. The neck measures .840 to .920 at the 1st and 12th. It has a medium C profile with a more pronounced apex than say a slab board guitar. It's not too big though and plays nicely in all positions. The guitar is slinky and vibrant acoustically with a glassy top end. There is definitely some magic in the pickups too. They have a nice rich color about them, with a good voice. Quintessential Strat tone!
Overall a great-playing and fine sounding example! Ships in a more recent but correct Custom Shop hardshell case and includes the COA, owners manual and sticker, as well as a non-original tremolo arm.
