1967's Summer of Love and Flower Power movement influenced mainstream fashions worldwide, and Fender was completely on board, helping to inspire and earning a special place in fender history with the Custom Shop Fender Vintage Custom '68 Telecaster NOS electric guitar — a faithful recreation of those original instruments from the legendary age of rock 'n' roll.
This guitar was masterfully-built in America, featuring a two-piece select alder body wearing an NOS lacquer finish with WLS undercoat over the famous Paisley motif. The rift-sawn maple neck has a '60s-style oval C-profile, topped by a round-lam rift-sawn maple fingerboard with a compound radius and twenty-one vintage frets for a comfortable feel up and down the entire fingerboard.
Hand-wound '67 Tele pickups meet the exact spec for that year, with a three-way switch and modern Tele wiring to accompany it for the best of a vintage voice. Other features include an eight-hole clear polyurethane pickguard, a '67 Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, Schaller F tuning machines, a bone nut, and wing string tree. Become a flower child or a rockabilly player — the Custom Shop Fender Vintage Custom '68 Telecaster NOS is available now at Replay Guitar Exchange!
