Fresh from our tech's shop is this very-early-1969 Drip Edge Fender Deluxe Reverb.

We always start with an amp by fully inspecting it, taking pictures along the way so you know exactly what you're getting. We then test all the tubes and replace any that are sketchy. Of course, we then dig in and play the amp to make sure everything sounds and functions as it should.

The amp has been serviced. There are replacement filter caps, a positive maintenance thing. Some caps and resistors in the amp have been replaced as needed with no unnecessary updating.

Everything but the speaker dates to 1968 or earlier. The speaker is very likely the original and dates to the 7th week of 1969. All transformers and pots are original.

Our check of the amp revealed that the reverb just wasn't sounding right. Having checked the tubes, we know that something else was afoot. Our tech investigated and found that is was simply the reverb tank. A replacement was installed and the original is included.

There is some cosmetic wear - some grill-fuzz here and there, a front bottom corner with tolex missing - less wear than many and more than some. Overall I'd say it is in excellent condition however. It is clear that the amp has not been abused.

Why is it called a Drip Edge, Black Line? Drip edge refers to the boarder around the grille that resembles metal flashing on a roof. Black line refers to the lines on the face plate, which were black only for a short time.

The upper back panel is missing. Everything else is original unless described above.

Great tone, quiet/reliable operation.

If you have one amp, make it this one!
