This 1953 Fender Esquire in its original Blond finish is another incredible example from Fender’s Golden Age of Blackguards! This Esquire has everything you’d want in a Blackguard, with a nicely aged and patina’d finish, a comfortable full neck with beautiful figuring, and original components. The neck has been played in for a super slick and broken-in feel, and the overall sustain is nothing short of amazing. This one shows some marks here and there and a deep patina in both the body and neck, but overall the guitar still looks great! At one point the volume potentiometer was changed, but has since been restored to a period-correct potentiometer (1952).
Overall Condition: 7.5, playwear, patina, and checking throughout
