This is a very cool, historically interesting 1952 reissue Telecaster from 1973. A Canadian Guitar shop ordered a run of these guitars because their customers were always asking for Telecasters like the 50's ones. Obviously not 100% historical accurate, it does have a really nice ash body with nice see through butterscotch finish, not terribly heavy for a 70's guitar, 7.5LBS, has small 50's style frets, very playable, but if bigger, taller frets are your thing might want to refret it, Has a bigger neck than most 70's guitars, that is probably what they focused on to make the neck more like the 50's versions
Sounds great!!! check out the video, very snappy and clear, the neck pickup has been rewound and sounds very nice, the bridge pickup sounds like a 50's pickup, all other electronics are original.
Comes with original case. Not sure of how many were in this run but there doesn't seem to be any others around, if anyone has more info and would like to share it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
As with all guitars purchased from MCG, this one comes with a full set up to the buyers specs!!!
