A 1979 Fender "Floyd Rose" Stratocaster in Transparent Red finish.
This guitar started its life in 1979 as a standard Fender Stratocaster but has been heavily modified over the years. A Floyd Rose system was added. A Duncan humbucker was installed in the bridge position. During the installation for the Floyd and humbucker, the body was routed too deeply necessitating some replaced wood around the trem cavity. In addition, the neck was converted from a 3-bolt join to a 4-bolt join and a new brass neckplate was installed along with some wood and mesh shims.
We've made a thorough inspection of the guitar and our in-house Guitar Tech has set it up to play its best, but this guitar is sold "as is" due to the many modifications that have been made. Even with all the changes, it's an interesting guitar that's playable as is and can serve as a platform for your own creative modifications. If you're interested in owning this road warrior Strat, please feel free to give us a call for a full in-hand description.
