Fender's new Gold Foil instruments put a brand new spin on vintage-styled Telecasters, Jazzmasters, and Jazz basses, incorporating new Gold Foil pickups. Gold Foil pickups were ubiquitous in the '50s and '60s and many artists like Ry Cooder have found their unique, open tone essential to their creative muse.

Nowadays almost every top boutique pickup maker offers their version of Gold Foil pickups which is a testament to the longstanding popularity of this mid-century pickup design. The Gold Foil Jazzmaster® comes equipped with a bound ebony fingerboard, pearloid block inlays, mahogany body, Bigsby® B50 vibrato and three Gold Foil mini-humbuckers. Other features include a matching painted headstock, vintage-style tuners with white buttons, 21 Narrow Tall frets and a Fender® Jaguar®-inspired switch plate.
