Description

1965 Fender Jaguar in very good condition. This incredible one-of-a-kind blue green sparkle finish Fender is all original, aside from having had the dried out foam replaced on the mute. The guitar has some paint loss on the matching blue green sparkle headstock, and a few small dings on the body. This Jaguar was constructed with an alder body and a maple neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a width of 1 5/8” at the nut, a depth of 0.80” at the first fret, and a depth of 0.96” at the twelfth fret. The guitar has a 24” scale and weighs 9.54” lbs. Fender produced some one-off sparkle finishes, often for trade shows, whose custom paint jobs were contracted out to auto shops. Although a handful of other original sparkle finish Jaguars are known to exist, this is the only example in stunning blue green sparkle. The guitar features a gold sparkle pickguard, whose edges are tinted black, which really sets off the look. The all chrome hardware adds to the hot rod aesthetic, including chrome tele style volume and tone knobs, which are original to the guitar and known to be used only on these sparkle finish Jaguars. This is all topped off with a matching blue green sparkle headstock. It is hard to understate how phenomenally cool this guitar looks in person. The ultimate surf rock stage guitar or Jaguar collection showpiece. Includes the original tremolo arm. It comes with the original orange lined black Fender hardshell case.
