This guitar weighs 8lb 6oz.

This 1995 Fender James Burton Telecaster is in very good condition. This instrument has been played and shows signs of use. There is a 1” nick on the top treble side edge of the guitar that appears to have been “smoothed” out and is smooth to the touch. There are pick scratches, small body dings and play wear on the back of the neck and fingerboard. This instrument has an older DiMarzio double rail single coil sized humbucking pickup in the bridge position (the original bridge pickup is included). The neck pickup has been removed and an “Esquire” style single ply white pickguard has been installed. The bridge saddles are brass Fender replacements.

The neck profile on this guitar is that of a chunky 50s profile that feels righteous and is easy to play. This neck feels very similar to the older Fender “Road Worn” series necks. The frets show some wear but this instrument plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with great action and intonation. This guitar does not buzz or fret out anywhere and is a serious player. There is an autograph on the back of the peghead which the previous owner has told us was signed by Joe Perry. I cannot confirm that this signature is legit, but I’m sure it could be removed if desired. This guitar sounds ridiculously good and the DiMarzio bridge pickup absolutely screams through an overdriven amp and it also has quite a bit of snap when being used clean. This is guitar is seriously incredible sounding. The volume and tone potentiometers are both working properly. The three way switch is wired direct so the guitar is silent in the 2nd and 3rd position. If you are after an absolute monster playing and sounding Telecaster/Esquire, this one will not disappoint.
