Here’s a rare find on the used market – a completely original 2002 Fender “Crafted in Japan” JM66 Jazzmaster in the highly coveted Burgundy Mist Metallic finish, featuring a matching painted headstock and a 7.25” radius rosewood fretboard.
Japanese-made Fenders have a well-deserved reputation for excellence, and this Jazzmaster is no exception. The craftsmanship and attention to detail rival those of its USA counterparts, if not matching them outright.
Sourcing Japanese-made JMS is becoming increasingly challenging, even within Japan itself. Their growing popularity among musicians, paired with the high level of Japanese craftsmanship, has made these models highly sought after and collectible. This particular model was produced in limited quantities, intended only for the Japanese market, and is rarely seen outside of Japan.
In terms of condition, this Jazzmaster is in excellent shape, with minimal signs of use or wear. A few light surface marks can be found, but overall, the guitar is incredibly clean and well-maintained.
The 7.25” radius slim vintage 60's oval ("C") neck is in fantastic condition, and the frets show only light wear, having been dressed for optimal playability. The stock electronics are fully functional, and the pickup covers and knobs have aged beautifully to a vintage amber tone, enhancing the guitar's retro charm. This one weighs in at 8.15 lbs.
Included is an aftermarket rectangular leather soft case.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY We provide a 48-hour evaluation period for all guitars and amplifiers (unless stated otherwise). Customers are responsible for covering all shipping and insurance expenses for both outbound and return shipments, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Prior to initiating a return, customers must make contact to obtain a return authorisation. Returned items must be in their original condition. Unauthorised returns will be declined and returned at the customer's expense. Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
