Super rare TL52 “C” built by Fujigen Gakki. “C” is thought to mean “custom order”. This one is difficult to date as there is no build date on the neck heel and it is an “A0xxxxx”. The pot codes suggest 1983 but earliest I’ve seen the “A” serial bridge plates is 1984 so I’m going with 1984. This model features many of the same specs as the TL52-95…but with high-end Japanese rather USA electronics, a one-piece ash body, what appears and smells like to be a nitro finish, USA made vintage pickups with cloth push-back wire, slotted-screws and high-end hardware with vintage-style tuners. Condition is superb considering it’s nearly 30 years with very little fret wear, a small amount of buckle rash and a few dings (see pics). Straight, comfortable medium-C-shaped neck with low action. Plays easily and sounds great.
