The real deal! 1960 Jazz Bass! Jazz Bass production began in March of 1960 and this one is early in production at July of 1960. Neck and body have been refinished and the pickguard painted. Pickups, wiring ( pots date code 6025 ), string mutes, thumb rest, tuners, covers and case are all intact. Neck date penciled "7-60". Neck plate serial number is 49XXX. Neck is very straight and plays great! Rosewood fingerboard with classic clay dots. She's a very cozy and comfortable 8 lbs! Original frets show very little wear. Original color was three tone sunburst. Pickguard is tortoise shell underneath the white paint. A true piece of musical history with a rich, warm, deep tone you can only find in instruments from this golden age. More pictures available upon request.
