1965 Fender Jazz Bass - rare Ash body and Padauk fingerboard
'65 Fender Jazz Bass, body refinished natural, otherwise original except for later '60's saddles & upgraded strap buttons. There are a couple small additional holes near the original ones for the bridge cover plate, no idea why. Frets worn but entirely playable.
Now for the fun part - the body is Ash and the fingerboard is Padauk - both original and rare as hell on this model, and the result is an unusually great sounding Jazz Bass. The neck pickup measures just under 7K and the bridge pickup measures 8K, so this is a very powerful sounding Jazz Bass too. Neck is very healthy, truss rod seems to have never been turned.
