Description

It’s hard to find a Jazzmaster as cool as this 1962 Fender Jazzmaster in Fiesta Red with a matching headstock! This one came from the original owner’s son, who made sure to detail his father’s story. In his earlier years, Doug Lewis came down with a case of “hillbilly fever” even though he lived in Alaska. He wrote and performed his own Honky Tonk music throughout the 50s, and before he owned this guitar played with the likes of Tennessee Ernie Ford, Speedy West, and Jimmy Bryant. The guitar itself looks stunning and is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument. The flamed neck has a nice worn-in feel, and the two matched pickups sound great in each configuration. From the cigarette burn on the headstock to the wear on the bottom of the body, this has the vibe from head to toe! There’s an ever-appealing luster to Fiesta Red, and the light patina on this piece even adds to it!

Overall Condition: 8, cigarette burn to the headstock, wear to the back of the neck and wear to the body, specifically bottom edges
