100% original 1965 Candy Apple Red Fender Jazzmaster with matching headstock. Plays wonderfully with an excellent setup and sports a comfortable medium C-profile neck. Acoustically warm and resonant with a clear and lively tone when amplified with plenty of twang from the bridge pickup and warm, fat midrange punch from the neck pickup! In very good condition showing normal signs of age including finish checking, minor dings, and some scratches on the upper shoulder (pictured.) Ready to be played or added to your collection! Includes original hardshell case.

"It’s widely reported that Candy Apple Red was Leo’s favorite Fender color, and it isn’t difficult to see why. Every other custom color was picked right off the Dupont color chart, but Fender had CAR custom mixed to its exact specification.
It was also the only Fender option that required a more labor intensive multi-step color coat, using a metallic silver or gold base coat with a translucent red topcoat for superior richness and depth.
(Gold undercoats generally began replacing silver in late ’65, can you spot the difference?)
These three offset examples were Fender’s top of the line at the time, so the 5% custom color upcharge was even more of a statement. As if that wasn’t enough, the subtle class of a matching headstock puts this trio of Fenders in a league of their own." - Tyler Geske

We offer a 72 hr approval on all guitar & amps (unless otherwise noted). Customer pays all shipping & insurance costs both ways unless otherwise negotiated by sales staff. Before returning any item, customers must call for a return authorization. Returned items must be in the same condition as when they left the store. Unauthorized returns will be refused & returned at customer expense. Returned items are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
