2021 Fender Limited Edition 1962 Reissue Stratocaster Lake Placid Blue

Near mint condition featuring double cutaway contoured alder body with Lake Placid Blue thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish with no poly base coat, multi-ply black and “mint green” plastic pickguard, three Fender Custom Shop Fat 50s single coil pickups with aged white plastic pickup covers, one volume control and two tone controls with aged white plastic skirted knobs, five way pickup selector switch with aged white plastic switch tip, vintage style Stratocaster tremolo bridge with six individual adjustable bent steel Fender stamped saddles, bolt on maple neck, “slab” rosewood fingerboard with aged “clay” dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Stratocaster peghead shape with Fender spaghetti logo and Stratocaster logo, single butterfly string tree, six in a line Kluson vintage style tuning machines, four bolt neck fastening plate with serial number engraving, single ply white plastic tremolo cavity cover plate, nickel plated metal hardware and original Fender hard shell rectangular case with brown Tolex covering and gold plush interior. All paperwork, hangtags, stickers are included as well as the original tremolo arm and ashtray bridge cover.

This 2021 Fender Limited Edition 1962 Reissue Stratocaster is in near mint cosmetic condition and appears to be virtually unplayed. The plastic protective film is still present on the tremolo cavity plate. This was a Limited Run made by Fender for Dave’s Guitar Shop. This guitar features a very comfortable chunky C shaped neck profile that feels great in the hand and is very easy to play. The slab rosewood fingerboard radius is 9.5” and the fingerboard has a very nice, rich dark texture that pairs exceptionally well with the aged "clay” dot inlays. The fret wire on this Stratocaster shows absolutely no wear and the guitar plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low, smooth action and great intonation. The vintage style tremolo system operates smoothly and the original tremolo arm is included. The Fender Custom Shop Fat 50s pickups sound excellent in all five positions and are very balanced. These pickups are very articulate and touch sensitive. Anything from country to surf to rock rhythm and blues, these pickups will deliver. This 62 Reissue Stratocaster is housed in its original hard shell case for safe travels. The factory protective foam is still present on the handle.
