2000 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Bass VI by Fred Stuart. Made in Fender Custom Shop by Masterbuilder Fred Stuart. The guitar was likely a special order by guitar distributor Yamano Music. Any guitar that went through Yamano is usually good because their standards were very high. The guitar features a great 3-tone sunburst finish that really is true to the era that this guitar is made after. The guitar also features a very nice celluloid tortoise guard, beautiful birdseye maple, Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, 3 single-coil pickups, all the switches like the originals, and Patented tremolo system that works great like on the Jazzmaster and Jaguars of the 1960’s. This guitar is somewhat rare in that it’s a Masterbuilt Bass VI from Fender. You would probably have to custom-order one to get another and it would probably be quite expensive.
