The Deluxe series of Fender's modern spec lineup is produced at Fender's Mexican factory.
This 2008 model is equipped with PJ pickups in a traditional Precision Bass body.
It has an active circuit, and the controls are volume/PU balancer/3-band EQ.
While the fat sound of the Precision type pickups is the core of the instrument, the addition of the bright sound of the Jazz Bass type pickups mounted in the rear position allows for a wide variety of sound creation.
The PJ-type Bass pickups can sound somewhat lacking when the front output is used with a balancer to create a plebe sound, but the EQ can compensate for the desired bandwidth, which is a big attraction.
The anodized pickguard and navy blue metallic body color make this a cool instrument!
