24インチのショートスケールネックを採用した1974年製Fender MUSICMASTER
フェンダー社の市場拡大を目的に製作されたスチューデントモデル、ミュージックマスター。1956年の中頃に登場してから、マイナーチェンジを行いつつ1980年には生産終了となったモデル。この1974年製のミュージックマスターは、1964年の中頃以降からのムスタングと同様の形状で、 1975年以降はブロンコとデザイン上統一されました。1975年後期からはカラーは2色で白と黒のみで、それ以前のダフネブルーのモデル。ネックスケールは当初22 1/2インチと24 インチスケールが用意されていましたが、1975年頃からは24インチスケールのみに統一、この1974年製も24インチスケールです。サウンドはフロントポジションにマウントされたピックアップらしい温かみのあるサウンドにポプラボディでふくよかな鳴りも特徴。時代の流れと共に姿を消したモデルながら、ヴィンテージ感を体感出来るエレキギター。「歴史の重みを感じる塗装の焼け方がたまらん」と経年変化も味に感じる方におすすめです
