Fender Mustang P90 Torino Red

Summary: This made in Mexico Mustang is a great player for the money with a nice wide neck, jumbo frets and dual P90 pickups. The previous owner weight relieved the guitar by drilled out holes in the back, this does not affect playability at all.

Body: Torino Red Mustang body with weight relieved back.

Neck: 24” scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, white dots, 1 5/8” nut width and aftermarket bone nut upgrade.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 P90 pickups, volume, tone, 3 way toggle, 6 saddle hardtail bridge, string-through-body, 3 ply pearloid guard and closed back Fender tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape aside from the holes drilled in the back. The holes have been colored in with black paint, the bottom corner of the pickup cavity and control cavity routs are visible through 2 of these holes. There are some various minor scuffs and dings on the body and whoever slotted the new bone nut carved grooves into the rosewood behind the nut… sort of an amateur move but it doesn’t affect the playability at all.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: New bone nut, weight relief holes in the back.
