The Precision bass may have debuted a few years earlier but in 1957 it was perfected and is the bass we all know and love today. Here we have an amazing and unmolested example. All original, included pickup and bridge covers and original solder joints. Clear "58" neck date and 57/58 pots, one of the last 2-tone sunbursts Fender did. The neck is in good shape with just the right amount of relief. 1-21/32" wide at the nut with an asymmetrical carve to the back. The bass side is round with the treble side slightly V shaped from the 1st to 6th fret. Yep, these sure were hand-made. We've got flat-wound strings on it and they suit if perfectly. This one definitely belonged to a smoker so a little of that smell hits you when you first take it out the case but after being out for a bit it goes away. It's a fantastic bass that just knocks you over when you pick it up. 8 lbs 12 oz.

Comes fully insured in a non-original case.
