Description

This is a absolutely killer playing and sounding vintage bass that was made in the USA in 1958. The bass was refinished many decades ago and has a naturally worn patina that looks fantastic. The fact that the body is Ash indicates this bass was likely blond originally (ouch). Ash bodies sound the best though. Most of the parts are not original, but the body, neck, anodized guard and neckplate all are correct. The pickups are Duncan Antiquities and the tuners are new repro tuners. The bass was professionally refretted with vintage style frets that are in great shape with no real fret wear to speak of. The bridge is a 70's Fender bridge. The neck date is 3-58 and the neck profile is a very nice medium C however the first fret and a half after the headstock have the slightest V to the profile. The bass has been pro-setup and is extremely resonant. It comes with a non original hard case.
