Faithful reproduction of a custom color 1955 Precision Bass by John English, Fender master builder in beautiful Teal Green metallic blue/green with matching thumb rest. John English was a driving force in the early days of the Fender custom shop and is known to have made instruments for Eric Clapton. Unfortunately June 28th 2007 John passed but his legacy lives on with the fine instruments he made while at Fender. This fine bass is no exception, accurate in every detail a truly fine hand made Masterbuilt Fender instrument by one of their best builders. The NOS designation means that some very minor antiquing or relic ing has been done, the instrument leaves the factory as slightly used. This fine example is exactly that, just as it left the factory. Large maple neck fills up the hand but feels comfortable, very much like the originals, it’s huge. Light alder body with efficient single coil pickup makes for a nice balanced feel while holding in a playing position. The tone is pure vintage P Bass but nicely balanced unlike some originals, the bass weighs 8 pound 8 ounces indicating that light dry hardwoods were used just as they were in the day. A fantastic collectors grade instrument in addition to being a great investment, there will never be another John English master built Fender Bass, don’t miss this rare opportunity to own one. We highly recommended buying instruments in this realm of quality, as the investment yield is always greater when buying rare models in perfect condition. There is no better place to put your money than in this fine piece. A 2002 Fender 1955 Precision Bass NOS custom shop master built instrument by John English serial number 2191 with COA, four pieces of paperwork, polish cloth and tweed case.
We accept Visa, Bank wire transfer, cashiers check, bank check, personal check or cash. No credit cards, if you need to use a credit card or even finance an item this can be done through Reverb.com.
We ship USPS Priority and Fed Ex Ground next business day, all instruments are carefully packed utilizing new shipping materials, all instruments are insured by Heritage Insurance. All parcels are flat rate shipped and are the same price for all buyers in the domestic USA, international shipping is also flat rate for anywhere in the world. The price is based on the cost of new shipping materials, boxes, bubble wrap, tape and labor and has nothing to do with where you are or your ability to pick it up in person. It is not in our business model to offer in person demonstrations of instruments or in person pickup, both of these things take an employee and extra time. If you have a limit as to what you want to spend on shipping please factor this into you instrument offer as we accept reasonable offers on most items. If an item doesn’t allow a lower offer it’s because it’s already been discounted and already at its lowest price. We recommend that you don’t chose an instrument based on shipping cost alone as there are more important issues all of which we have well covered. I might point out that all of our guitars come with professional detailing and set up, this has real value and keeps one from getting inferior work from an unqualified retail establishment. Thanks for your understanding. John Russell Nelson owner VGA Vintage Gear America
