Description
Summary: The second version of the Telecaster Bass was introduced toward the end of 1971. They had big chunky necks and that classic telecaster headstock. As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was a revolutionary instrument upon its introduction in 1951. This bass is a mix of the two. It has a 1971 Telecaster bass neck and a Precision bass body that has a backplate that dates to 1975. It has been refinished and the electronics have been modified. The pickup is a Seymour Duncan Basslines and a switch has been added that is not hooked up.

Body: Solid P-Bass with a light blue refinish.

Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, Telecaster bass neck, 34” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 20 frets, fat profile (shape).

Pickups/Hardware: Seymour Duncan Basslines pickups, master volume/master tone controls/2-way switch (not hooked up), chrome covers, open gear Fender tuning keys, 3-ply white pickguard (original included in case).

Cosmetics: This bass has been refinished to a light blue. It has a bit of checking near some of the screws of the pickguard and the back plate. The back of the neck has various nicks, dings, and scratches. The frets show wear but they still have some life left.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this bass with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: This bass has tons of mods. The neck is from a Telecaster bass and the body is a Precision bass. The pickguard has been changed along with all the electronics. The tuning keys are original to the neck and the original pickguard is included in the case.

Weight: 9.3 lbs.

Case: This bass ships in a 70’s Fender case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
