The debut of the Precision Bass is arguably one of the most important milestones of the 20th Century. The P-Bass gave bass players a means to be heard clearly while giving birth to a slew of new musical styles. The Custom Shop-model Fender Vintage Custom 1951 Precision Bass offers the appointments that made the original the undisputed champion of working bassists the world over, decorated in a NOS flash-coat lacquer Nocaster Blonde finish and adorned with Closet Classic hardware.
This striking Custom P-Bass offers an original slab-style two-piece ash solidbody, complete with a supremely fast and comfortable tinted quartersawn maple neck with a 7.25" fingerboard radius and a '51-'55 P-Bass bridge with vintage fiber bridge saddles and flatwound strings — letting the instrument breathe more organically while showing off all of the vintage aesthetics and qualities.
Installed is a '55 P-Bass pickup, complete with volume and tone controls to dial in your exact vintage sound that will thump your music into overdrive. The single-ply Black pickguard, bone nut, round string retainer and vintage-style tuning machines all add to the amazing vintage style. A living legend, the Custom Shop Fender Vintage Custom 1951 P-Bass sounds just as good now as the original did back in 1951 — ready for you now at Replay Guitar Exchange!
