Still “Fender Electric Instrument Co.” on front-end back of panel, with original Oxford 10” speaker dated September of 1964. The amp date code, inked in black on the tube chart, is “OF”, finished in June, 1965, circuit designation is AA964. Comes with original footswitch. A super-clean original example with only the power cord changed to a grounded plug. The featherweight “Fender Electric”-era Princetons with no reverb are classic. Tom Petty and Mike Campbell toured with white-knob non-reverb Princetons. Solid 56 year-old pine cabinet that is now dry and more resonant. The handwired (made by skilled humans in the US of A) chassis with military-grade components is a work of art. We should point out that Princeton and Deluxe amps had no Fender logo on the grille cloth until later in 1965, It’s a cleaner look. Old RCA power tubes too, a real bonus for tone and collectibility. These small amps have have a real appeal lately and you know why. Turn this to 4 or 5 and the sweetest tube tone spills out. These also have an AC outlet on back and an extension speaker jack (for more fun), and a ground switch. Real clean, real original.
