The big Fender tweeds are among the best guitar amps ever made. A tweed Bassman or Twin will knock your socks off and give you that fat tweed tone you've been chasing your whole life. But an original Bassman or Twin is going to cost you $12000 unless you're OK with a re-tweed and a load of changed parts. And, they are pretty loud and not totally practical for smaller venues. The real sweet spot among tweeds are the 26 watt mid range tweeds-The Bandmaster, the Super and the Pro.The amp section for these three amps is identical except for the output transformer impedance. So why does a Bandmaster cost $12000, a Super $10,000 and a Pro only $7500. Because nobody wants a 15" speaker any more. They ruled in the 60's (a dual Showman was king in 1965 with 2-15" JBLs). But 15's have fallen into disfavor lately. Too bad-they are great speakers. They can handle the highs with ease and manage the lows in ways a 12 or 10 can only dream of (do speakers dream?). This 56 is nearly all original. The filter caps have been changed (paper tubes from the original caps are over the replacements), the Speaker is re-coned (I think) and the AC cord is changed to three prong. The transformers are original. The chrome panel is near perfect. The tweed and grill are original and in great shape. Can't get behind a 15" speaker? Spend $12K on a Bandmaster or buy this Pro and I will throw in a 2-10" baffle cut perfectly to size for this cabinet.
Put in a couple of 16 ohm 10's and you're ready to rock with no mismatch. You could put in two 8 ohm 10's and it will still sound great even with the mismatched impedance. Fender amps don't care much.
