1960 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

Stunningly clean slab board 59 or early 60 Stratocaster. Serial is 60, body date and pot codes are late 59. Other than a few dings along the edges and some minor dings in the top, it looks pretty much like new. There is no neck date (not unusual for the period). All the solder looks original. It looks like a two tone sunburst but it’s likely what some folks call a two and a half tone sunburst. The red used in these early three tone bursts tends to fade. The green guard isn't very green indicating that the guitar spent most of its life in the case. Lots of case candy too including the original hang tag, case key, picks, strings and cord. The strap looks brand new but the previous owner says it was like that when he got it decades ago, so maybe it simply never got used. It's an excellent player but I doubt this one will go to the gig with you. It's too clean. Original case is real nice brown type with one busted latch.
