Summary: This is a beautiful 1979 Fender hardtail Stratocaster in rare Sienna Sunburst. This guitar has a great body with lots of character in the ash and a nice feeling maple neck.
Body: Solid body double cutaway Fender Stratocaster with a Sienna Sunburst finish
Neck: Maple neck & fingerboard with dot inlays, 21 frets, 25.5” scale length, 1 9/16” nut width
Pickups/Hardware: 3 single coil pickups, one master volume knob, 2 tone knobs, chrome hardware, bullet truss rod, original “F” Fender tuning keys, dot inlays, hard tail bridge.
Cosmetics: This vintage Fender does show some signs of light wear consistent with a well-loved & played Fender from the late 1970’s – there are very minor scratches & wear in the finish but the sunburst color & the quality of character within the wood hides most of the wear…..there is one notable ding on the upper horn that you can see better once you hold the guitar in your hands. The neck plate is showing some minor pitting as well. Overall this guitar is in exceptional shape for being almost 40 years old.
Playability: We set this instrument up with 10’s and the action is low & comfortable – the truss rod is fully working & the neck is straight. With no tremolo – this hard tail stays in great tune!
Modifications: The original knobs have been replaced with some aged Fender knobs and there is one ferrule that has been replaced while the others still have an older rusty patina.
Weight: 9 lbs, 5 oz.
Case: This guitar comes with a cool old Fender hardshell molded case with a red interior
