Summary: This is one of the cleanest examples of a 1980 Stratocaster we have seen here at our shop. It sounds fantastic and sustains wonderfully with its hardtail bridge and 2 piece ash body. Our in house guitar tech has just inspected, restrung and set this up with a new set of 10s, it is all original and quickly becoming a favorite around here. It ships in its original hardshell case.
Body: 2 piece ash body with 3 ply black-white-black pickguard.
Neck: Maple neck and fingerboard, 3-bolt neck with neck tilt adjustment, bullet truss rod, 25 1/2” scale length and 1.625” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: 3 original single coil pickups, volume, 2 tones, 5 way switch, F stamped tuners and hardtail bridge, string-through-body.
Cosmetics: This Strat is very clean with just a bit of light buckle rash, some scratches on the pickguard, a few minor dings and dents, some very light scratches above the pickguard on the body and 2 dings on the edge of the fingerboard by the treble side of the 1st fret.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with some minor wear from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.
